A perfect way for children to get a real taste of overnight camp without having to sleep over! From swimming, challenge ropes, singing in the dining room to candy tuck, we’ll provide superb supervision and counselling, along with amazing programming from the minute they leave until they come home! Children will get a true sense of camp life and the intimate feeling of New Moon. This is a great introduction that is a perfect start to an overnight camping career!

An All-Star Day at Camp:

7:30 AM – Bus Departure from AMC Interchange Theatre Parking Lot (see WEBSITE)
Arrive, settle into day-cabin with counsellors
Swimming and water trampoline
Morning activities (skiing/water toboggan, war canoe)
Lunch, mail, candy tuck
Afternoon activities (high ropes, kayaking, archery and games, and arts & crafts)
Snack and special program
Packing, dinner and bus ride home with movie
10:00 PM: Return home to AMC Interchange: ready for bed!!

Supervision and Support:

This is a jammed-pack day of fun and activity – our aim is to provide campers with a taste of many of the unique activities offered at New Moon, rather than a duplication of what they might receive at a day-camp
Bus counsellors will program the moment campers load the buses
staff will be assigned to every 6 campers, providing excellent support and guidance
To allow campers to catch their breath, we’ll have a brief rest hour, complete with candy tuck and mail! (we will arrange for parents to have a letter available for distribution during this time – just like the other campers)
Our camp nurse and doctor are here all the time, responsive to any concerns, medicine requirements, etc.
New Moon is a ‘swim-friendly’ camp: campers with limited ability get more help and supervision so they can enjoy waterfront activities
All campers who attend will be eligible for discounted rates for 2012

These programs offer a weekend packed with fun and adventure! For either 1 or 2 nights, campers will get a taste of being away from home, sharing a cabin with friends, evening programs and campfires, and MORE! From archery to swimming, challenge ropes to candy tuck, we’ll provide superb supervision and counselling, along with amazing programming from the minute they leave home until they return! This is a great way to try overnight camp and take part in a fabulous, fun-filled weekend at camp! The 1-night sleep over packs in activities during the 1st afternoon and the following day. A 2-night option gives more opportunity for activities and another special evening program.

An Amazing Weekend at Camp:

1:30 PM – Bus Departure from AMC Interchange Theatre Parking Lot (see WEBSITE)
Afternoon games and tour of camp
Shabbat dinner, service, camp-wide campfire, singsong and snack
Saturday activities with a break for lunch, rest period and candy tuck!
Barbecue dinner and evening program (1-night program ends and bus arrives in Toronto by 10:00 pm)
Snack and special late night program (for 2-night weekend program)
Sunday morning activities, lunch and a brief rest period
Afternoon activities, packing and arrival home by 5:30 pm
